Attractions

  • Blue Mini Peninsula loop tour . The finest and lowest cost way of getting your first feel of Cape Town. If the weather is good it is sublime and even if its not so good, its a terrific introduction
  • Table Mountain: Obviously a Cape Town Icon. There are multiple ways of experiencing the mountain
    • The Cable Way: If you have limited time and/or are dont like the idea of hiking, this is the way to go. One needs to be aware of opening and closing times as well as the weather and one can save some money and time by buying tickets on-line
    • Hiking: There are many routes up the mountain from all sides. One needs a moderate level of fitness. I strongly recommend one take the precautions referred to above, especially water, solid shoes, sun block, a hat and go with someone. The only climb that is suitable to do without a guide is Platteklip Gorge. It is well traveled and, while strenuous (they all are), safe. I have specifically not listed other hikes here as one should not go without a guide.
    • Cycling: One cannot (legally) get to the top of Table Mountain by bicycle but there are excellent MTB trails around.
  • Kirstenbosch
  • Muizenberg
  • Kalk Bay
  • Township tours
